Flatbread FAQs

Is flatbread the same as wraps?

Flatbread is a versatile type of bread that can be used to make a wrap. You could also use tortillas or naan to make wraps and fill them with your choice of ingredients.

How do you wrap a flatbread wrap?

After placing your filling in your flatbread, roll up the bottom end before rolling the two sides together. This will help keep the filling from falling out when you lift your flatbread to eat.

What is the difference between naan and flatbread?

Naan is a type of flatbread, along with pita, tortillas, and many more. Naan has a fluffier texture than some other types of flatbreads and is made with ghee or clarified butter.

What to put on flatbread wraps

Flatbread wraps offer so many delicious possibilities, with endless options for fillings and flavours. You can take inspiration from cuisines all over the world to create your flatbread wrap, from halloumi and vegetables, tomato and cheese, to hummus and olives. Just experiment with your favourite flavours to create your signature flatbread wrap.

A world of flatbreads

Flatbread recipes vary across the world. Some are designed to be wrapped, such as the Mexican tortilla, used to make fajitas, burritos and more. While others, like the Indian naan, is typically used to scoop up other food but can also be filled with curry-inspired flavours and ingredients.

How to store flatbread

Homemade flatbreads generally won’t last as long as shop-bought. They’ll usually last a few days if they’re kept in an airtight container. Shop-bought flatbreads can last much longer if they’re not opened. Just check the use-by or best-before date to make sure.
