Chocolate Mousse

A favourite dessert made for celebrations. It is super easy to make and is great to prepare the day before the party. Burnt almonds on top provides an extra crunch and flavour.

Instructions

Step 1
  • Chop the chocolate into smaller pieces and put in a bowl.
Step 2
  • Beat 150ml of cream lightly and store cold.
Step 3
  • Boil the rest of the cream and add the chopped chocolate, stir until smooth.
Step 4
  • Boil sugar and water and pour in the yolks. Whisk vigorously to create a fine foam.
Step 5
  • Mix the chocolate mixture in the egg foam and then stir in the whipped cream. Distribute the mousse in glasses. Allow the mousse to cool for at least one hour.
Step 6
  • Peel a thin piece of orange peel with potato peeler. Finely cut the zest.
Step 7
  • Grease a piece of baking paper with oil.
Step 8
  • Melt the sugar in a small saucepan. Stir in orange peel and almond with a wooden spoon.
Step 9
  • Pour the mixture onto the paper. Let it solidify for about 30 minutes.
Step 10
  • Chop it with a large sharp knife. Sprinkle the chopped almond over the mousse.
