Pita Bread

Pita Bread

Try baking your own pita bread. Home-baked pita bread tastes much better than store-bought - and it is not hard to bake!

Step 1
  • Put milk and water in a saucepan and warm it up until it is as warm as your little finger.
Step 2
  • Pour the milk mixture into a bowl and stir in the yeast in.
Step 3
  • Add sugar, salt, durum flour and approximately half of the pizza flour.
Step 4
  • Beat the dough together and gradually add the rest of the pizza flour until the dough stops sticking to the bowl.
Step 5
  • Divide the dough into 12 pieces and form them into balls. Push the balls flat (about 12 cm in diameter). Place them on baking sheets and let them rise for approximately 15 minutes.
Step 6
  • Bake the pita bread in the middle of the oven. The bread will rise and become hollow during baking. Baking time - 7 minutes at 250 °.
