Gluten Free Waffles

If you are looking for a healthy breakfast that looks and tastes like a treat, and is gluten-free, try these delicious waffles with Arla B.O.B Milk!

Ingredients

Makes 4

150 g Oat flour
2 tbsp Sweetener
2 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
¼ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Bicarbonate of soda
150 ml Arla® B.o.b milk, slightly warm
1 tbsp Lemon juice
2 Medium eggs
2 tbsp Melted butter
1 tsp Vanilla essence (optional)

Instructions

Step 1

  • In a bowl, stir the lemon juice into the milk and leave for 5 minutes.

Step 2

  • Add the eggs, butter and vanilla and stir to combine everything.

Step 3

  • Blitz the oats in your food processor until you have a fine powder, then measure 150g into a large bowl.

Step 4

  • Add all remaining dry ingredients to your bowl (sweetener, baking powder, cinnamon, salt) and mix well.

Step 5

  • Now add the wet ingredients and stir everything until fully combined. Leave batter to rest for about 15 minutes.

Step 6

  • While it’s resting, heat your waffle maker and mist with cooking spray so the batter doesn’t stick.

Step 7

  • When its ready, add enough batter to the centre of the waffle maker to cover about three quarters of the surface, then carefully close the lid.

Step 8

  • Cook the waffle until it’s golden and crisp then transfer to a cooling rack.

Step 9

  • Continue making waffles with the remaining batter until you use it all up.

Step 10

  • Serve your delicious waffles with fresh fruit and a little maple syrup, honey or cream. Enjoy!
