Store-cupboard Scones

Make a batch of scrumptious scones from scratch with delicious Cravendale Whole Milk.


Step 1
  • Preheat your oven to 250°C, and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Step 2
  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add the butter and rub together, using your fingers, until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Step 3
  • Mix in the milk and cream, first with a spoon, and then with your hands to make a dough.
Step 4
  • Roll out the dough to 2cm thick and cut out into discs, around 4cm in diameter.
Step 5
  • Pop your discs on the baking tray, brush with milk, and bake for 10-12 minutes - until golden brown.
Step 6
  • Serve with plenty of butter, clotted cream and jam, and a pot of tea on the side for a classic afternoon tea.
