What is carrot milk good for?

Carrot milk is a delicious way to increase the amount of vegetables and other nutrients in your daily diet, as well as being a tasty drink to enjoy whenever you like

What is carrot milk?

Carrot milk is a mixture of milk and carrot juice, used as a base for smoothies or other drinks. It can be enhanced with other ingredients, including ginger, nutmeg, and honey.

Is carrot milkshake healthy?

A milkshake made with carrots can be a great way of adding more vegetables to your diet, as well as giving you the nutrients found in milk, such as calcium and protein.

Carrot milk

It might sound like an unexpected combination, but carrot juice and milk pair very well. You can find this combination in the traditional gajar ka doodh carrot milk drink from India, made with cooked carrot puree and flavoured with cardamom. You can make your own carrot juice by blending raw and peeled carrots and then straining them to extract the liquid. Or you can also find ready-made carrot juice in the supermarket.

What to add to your carrot milk

You can add all sorts of flavours to your carrot milk, including ginger, honey, grated nutmeg or cardamom, or even add more vegetables like apples or celery. Just be wary of adding anything with high acidity, like citrus fruits or tomatoes, as these can cause the milk to curdle.

Make it a frozen treat

While this carrot milk is always best served over ice, you could make it even more chilled and refreshing by blending it with ice to make a smoothie. Just pop everything in a blender along with a few ice cubes, or you could use frozen banana, berries or melon.
