Caramel Popcorn

Caramelised popcorn - a sweet and slightly salty crunchy popcorn, perfect for a weekend treat. A firm favourite at a party!

Ingredients

50 g Popcorn
2 tbsp Colza oil
1 tsp Salt
160 g Caster sugar
100 g Butter

Instructions

Step 1

  • Pop the popcorn in the oil and salt. Let the sugar melt and become light brown on medium heat in a frying pan.

Step 2

  • Add the butter and stir into a smooth, brown paste. Pour in the popcorn and stir. Pour onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Step 3

  • Allow to cool slightly and pull the popcorn apart if stuck together. Let it cool.
