- 500 g Flour
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Baking Powder
- 50 g Butter
- 100 ml Arla Cravendale Milk (Plus Extra for Glaze)
- 180 ml Double Cream
Preheat your oven to 250°C, and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Add the butter and rub together, using your fingers, until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Mix in the milk and cream, first with a spoon, and then with your hands to make a dough.
Roll out the dough to 2cm thick and cut out into discs, around 4cm in diameter.
Pop your discs on the baking tray, brush with milk, and bake for 10-12 minutes - until golden brown.
Serve with plenty of butter, clotted cream and jam, and a pot of tea on the side for a classic afternoon tea.
