Sandwich Bread

A delicious and simple recipe for sandwich bread that everyone will love. Try it once - and pamper your friends and family, plus yourself!

Ingredients

25 g Butter
250 ml Milk
100 ml Pouring yoghurt
50 g Yeast
1 Egg
2 tsp Sea salt
1 tsp Sugar
100 g Broken wheat grains Kernels
550 g Wheat flour

Instructions

Step 1

  • Melt the butter in a pan and add the milk. Pour the mixture into a bowl and add the pouring yogurt.

Step 2

  • Stir in the yeast. Add the other ingredients (keep a little flour back). Mix the dough together thoroughly.

Step 3

  • Cover the bowl and place the dough, to rise, in a warm place for approximately 1 hour. After this put the dough on a floured surface and knead it thoroughly.

Step 4

  • Then put the dough in a greased rye bread tin (about 3 litres) and let the bread rest for approximately ½ hour.

Step 5

  • Cover the tin first with baking paper and then with a baking sheet. The baking sheet must stay on the tin during baking. Bake the sandwich bread on a baking tray at the bottom of the oven for 30 minutes at 200 °.
