Potato Casserole

Potato casserole with celeriac and leek is creamy, delicious and easy to prepare. Try adding sausages or ham.

Ingredients

Main Dish

25 g Butter
½ Coarse Grained celeriac
800 g Potatoes In Cubes
400 ml Vegetable bouillon
1½ tsp Coarse salt
3 Leeks In Thick Slanted Slices
100 ml Single Cream
1 tsp Pepper

Garnish

1 handful Chopped Fresh Bunch Of fresh parsley

Additions

400 g Fried sausages
200 g Pickled beets

Instructions

Step 1

  • Melt butter in a pan at high heat, without burning. Sweat the celery in the butter.

Step 2

  • Add potatoes, stock and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer on low heat under a lid for approximately 20 minutes.

Step 3

  • Add the leeks and cream. Bring to the boil again and let it simmer under low heat with the lid on for approximately 5 minutes. Taste.

Top Tip

The potato casserole tastes great alongside other meats, eg hamburger bites.
