Homemade Mustard

Homemade Mustard

This is a strong yet slightly sweet, homemade mustard. Perfect for serving with ham, sausages or a sandwich.

Ingredients

1 tbsp Wheat flour
60 g Mustard powder
3 tbsp Caster sugar
pinches Of salt
75 ml Water
1 tbsp Vinegar 12%
150 ml Whipped cream

Instructions

Step 1

  • Mix the mustard powder, flour, sugar and salt in a thick-bottomed saucepan. Stir in water, vinegar and whipped cream. Bring to the boil while stirring constantly for 1 minute.

Step 2

  • Remove the pan from the heat. Beat the mustard with an electric whisk or food processor so that the mustard becomes completely smooth. Put into small jars.

Step 3

  • Rest at least 24 hours before serving. Store in a refrigerator."
