Gluten-Free Buns

Spread the Christmas cheer in the kitchen with gluten-free safforn buns that are juicy with quark and almond flour. Gluten-free bread becomes dry faster, so freeze the buns that aren't eaten.

Ingredients

75 g Butter
200 ml Semi-skimmed milk
1 Pack Of yeast
2 tbsp Psyllium Husk
100 ml Quark
80 g Caster sugar
1 Egg
1 Packet saffron
1 pinch Salt
350 g Gluton-Free flour
60 g Almond flour

Instructions

Step 1

  • Melt the butter and add the milk. Heat to about 37 °. Break up the yeast in a bowl, pour in the milk mixture and add the psyllium husk. Let rise for about 10 minutes.

Step 2Step

  • Add eggs, quark, saffron, sugar and salt. Work in the flour mix, saving some for the baking. Let rest, covered for about 30 minutes.

Step 3

  • Divide the dough into pieces. Add raisins and let it rise for about 30 minutes.

Step 4

  • Heat oven to 225 °. Brush the saffron buns with beaten egg. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 5-7 minutes."
