Cheese Salad

A French inspired salad, which was popular in the 90s.

Ingredients

Dressing

tbsp Dijon mustard
tsp Fine salt
Freshly pepper
1 tbsp White wine vinegar
3 tbsp Olive oil

Roasted Breadcrumbs

5 slices Sandwich Stale Bread Without The Crust, Cut Into Cubes
25 g Butter In Smaller Pieces
150 g Bacon In Thin Slices
1 kilo Iceberg lettuce Torn Into Pieces
200 g Grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

Step 1

  • Mix the mustard with salt, pepper and vinegar. Mix the oil in. Taste.

Step 2

  • Spread the bread and butter in a small roasting pan and put them into the middle of the oven to cook for 12 minutes at 225 °, turning them 2-3 times.

Step 3

  • Cut the bacon slices into smaller pieces. Cook on a low heat in a dry pan until crisp. Leave on greaseproof paper.

Step 4

  • Assemble the salad with cheese, bacon and bread on one large or two smaller dishes. Serve the dressing next to it.
