Strawberry Pastry

An exquisite pastry for strawberry lovers of all ages. The pastry is filled with wonderful coconut cream and fresh strawberries. If the coconut is roasted, it will taste even more delicious.


Step 1
  • Heat the oven to 225 C. Place the puff pastry on a baking tray covered with baking paper.
Step 2
  • Brush with beaten egg. Cut the puff pastry into squares, about 8x8 cm.
Step 3
  • Bake in the middle of the oven for about 10 minutes. Let it cool.
Step 4
  • Cut off the top of the puff pastry, to later use as a lid (save the bottom half as well).
Step 5
  • Roast the coconut in a dry frying pan for about 2 minutes. Let it cool.
Step 6
  • Whip the cream. Slice the strawberries. Mix coconut, cream and icing sugar. The dish can be premade up to this point.
Step 7
  • Place half of the strawberries on the bottom half of the puff pastry, spread the coconut cream onto the strawberries and then add the remaining strawberries.
Step 8
  • Put the lids on and finish with a dusting of icing sugar for a final touch.

For extra taste and artistic presentation, can top the finished pastry with more strawberries!
