Spaghetti Meatballs in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients: 400 g Minced pork (About 12% Fat); 1 tsp coarse salt; Freshly Ground pepper; 2 Finely Chopped White white onions (Approximately 100g); 150 ml milk; 3 tbsp wheat flour; 25 g butter; 4 White white onions, Roughly Chopped (Approximately 200g); 2 Cans Of chopped tomatoes (About 800g); 1 tsp sugar; 1 tsp coarse salt; 3 litres water; 1 tbsp coarse salt; 350 g spaghetti; 40 g Freshly Chopped fresh parsley; 50 g Grated cheese

This combination never goes out of fashion. Pasta, tomato and meatballs are loved by everyone.

Ingredients

Meatballs

Minced pork (About 12% Fat)	400 g
Coarse salt	1 tsp
Freshly Ground pepper
Finely Chopped White white onions (Approximately 100g)	2
Milk	150 ml
Wheat flour	3 tbsp

Tomato Sauce

Butter	25 g
White white onions, Roughly Chopped (Approximately 200g)	4
Cans Of chopped tomatoes (About 800g)	2
Sugar	1 tsp
Coarse salt	1 tsp
Water	3 litres
Coarse salt	1 tbsp
Spaghetti	350 g
Freshly Chopped fresh parsley	40 g
Grated cheese	50 g

Instructions

Step 1

Stir the mincemeat with salt and pepper for approximately 1 minute.

Step 2

Add onions. Stir in the milk and then the flour. Cover the mixture and place in the refrigerator for approximately ½ hour.

Step 3

Melt the butter in a pan on a high heat, be careful not to burn. Cook the onions for approximately 1 minute. Add the chopped tomatoes, sugar and salt.

Step 4

Bring the sauce to the boil, cover, and reduce the heat to medium, cook for approximately 3 minutes.

Step 5

Taste the tomato sauce and adjust the flavours to your taste.

Step 6

Remove the mincemeat from the fridge and shape into 16 small meatballs - the size of walnuts. Place them gently in the pan of tomato sauce.

Step 7

Cover and cook the meatballs on a low heat for approximately 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and leave the meatballs, still with the lid on, for approximately 5 minutes.

Step 8

Pour water and some salt into a large pan and place on a high heat to boil the water. Add the spaghetti once the water is boiling and cook the spaghetti for 8-10 minutes.

Step 9

Drain the spaghetti in a colander. Serve the spaghetti and meatballs with tomato sauce on warm plates, sprinkle with parsley and cheese then serve immediately.
