Oatmeal Bread

Oatmeal bread is a great alternative that is low in fat and tastes delicious. Perfect for the breakfast table.


Step 1
  • Melt the butter in a pan and add the milk. Pour the mixture into a bowl and add the yogurt. Stir the yeast in. Add the other ingredients (keep a little flour).
Step 2
  • Beat the dough well. Cover the bowl with a lid and place the dough in a warm place to rise for approximately 1 hour.
Step 3
  • Take the dough out on a floured surface and knead it thoroughly. Add any/the rest of the flour.
Step 4
  • Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each piece approximately 1 meter long. Plait the 3 dough pieces.
Step 5
  • Form the braid into a large spiral on a baking sheet. Let it rest for approximately ½ hour. Brush the bread with eggs and sprinkle with oatmeal.
Step 6
  • Bake the bread at the bottom of the oven, bake for -½ hour at 200 °.
