Ground Beef Pasty

Puff pastry, minced meat and grated cheese is all that is needed for these delicious parcels - ideally served with a side salad.

Ingredients

Puff pastry
400 g
Meat mince
300 g
Butter
1 tbsp
Creme fraiche
40 g
Tomato
1
Mature Arla® LactoFREE Cheddar
100 g
Egg
1

Instructions

Step 1

  • Set the oven at 200 °C. Roll out the puff pastry and cut out 10 circles for your parcels.

Step 2

  • Fry the meat with a knob of butter in a frying pan. Once the meat is golden, add the crème fraîche and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3

  • Cut the tomato into small cubes and add this to the frying pan, cook for another 2-3 minutes. Allow to cool slightly. Grate the cheese and stir together.

Step 4

  • Place a spoonful of the filling into the middle of each pre-cut pastry circle. Fold the parcel, covering the filling and pinch the edges together to seal the parcel.

Step 5

  • Brush with beaten egg. Place the parcels on a baking tray that is lined with baking paper. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes until golden.
