Caramel Custard

Ingredients: 160 g caster sugar; 75 ml water; 500 ml cooking cream; 1 vanilla pod; 80 g caster sugar; 4 eggs; 1 salt

Finish your dinner with a classic dessert! Caramel custard has the wonderful flavour of caramel and cream and it simply melts in your mouth.

Water	75 ml
Cooking cream	500 ml
Vanilla pod	1
Caster sugar	80 g
Eggs	4
Salt	1

Instructions

Step 1

Melt the sugar in a dry, hot frying pan. Add the water and simmer with the melted sugar to a golden brown caramel.

Step 2

Immediately distribute the caramel into individual dishes.

Step 3

Heat the oven to 100 °.

Step 4

Split the vanilla pod and cook with the cream. Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl.

Step 5

Pour the cream into the bowl and whisk until a thick and creamy consistency. Pour into the dishes with the caramel. Cook in the middle of the oven for 45-50 minutes until the egg mixture has cooked. Let it cool.
