Banana and Walnut Bread

Looking for an easy homemade #NoCheatTreats dessert? You are only an hour away from a sweet, banana-walnut bread with one secret ingredient for extra moisture!


Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 180°C / 160°F / Gas Mark 4.
Step 2
  • Grease a 2lb loaf tin with some of the extra butter, line the base with baking parchment and then grease this as well.
Step 3
  • In a large bowl, mix together the butter, sugar and egg, then slowly mix in the flour and baking powder.
Step 4
  • Peel and then mash the bananas using a fork or potato masher. Add bananas to the bowl mixture along with the nuts.
Step 5
  • Pour the mixture into the loaf tin and bake for 1 hour, or until a skewer comes out clean.
Step 6
  • Transfer loaf tin to a wire rack and allow to cool before removing the loaf from the tin. Serve warm and enjoy!
