Instructions

Step 1
  • Peel the apples, cut them into quarters and remove the core.
Step 2
  • Cut the apple pieces into wedges and put them in a pan along with water, the split vanilla pod and sugar. Boil the apples with the lid on at low heat for 5 minutes. Cool off the slightly mashed apple pieces and remove the vanilla pod.
Step 3
  • Beat the cream lightly with icing sugar until whipped. Arrange the apple sauce and the whipped cream into 4 layers. Start with apple sauce and finish with whipped cream.
Step 4
  • Decorate with macaroons and serve!

Top Tip

Choose apples that are crisp and flavourful, such as Cox apples, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Pink Lady. Different apple varieties have varying textures and sweetness
