Sausage in the Oven

A simple and hearty dinner classic that everyone enjoys. Combine it with mashed potatoes and choose a mature cheese if you want more flavour on the sausage.


Step 1
  • Heat the oven to 175 °. Cut grooves in the sausage without cutting through completely.
Step 2
  • Put the sausage in an ovenproof dish. Spread about 1 teaspoon of mustard on each slice.
Step 3
  • Sprinkle the cheese over the sausage, cut the tomatoes in half and put in with the sausage.
Step 4
  • Cook in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes. Sprinkle with chervil before serving and serve with mashed potatoes.
Step 5
  • Peel the potatoes and cut into pieces. Boil in a saucepan for 10-15 minutes.
Step 6
  • Drain the potatoes and mash in the pan. Heat the milk and butter and stir into the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir the mash well.
