Oven Roast Pumpkin

If you want to have a slightly unusual vegetable dish with a Sunday dinner try this roasted pumpkin. But it's also great either as part of a buffet or as an appetizer with a spoonful of sour cream. Delicious!


Step 1
  • Heat the oven to 225 °.
Step 2
  • Halve the pumpkin and remove the fibre and seeds. Cut it into 8 slices.
Step 3
  • Put them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Step 4
  • Lightly crush the chilli flakes, cumin seeds and flaked sea salt in a mortar and pestle, then mix with the butter.
Step 5
  • Brush the pumpkin/squash with the mixture. Sprinkle with pumpkin the seeds.
Step 6
  • Roast in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes or until the pumpkin feels soft. Can be served either hot or cold.

Spreadable butter
50 ml
Chilli flakes
Ground cumin Seeds
1 tsp
Flaked sea salt
2 tsp
Pumpkin seeds
60 g
