The plot thickens

ARLA FOODS is again topping the dizzy heights of innovation working with Sainsbury's to produce their own label, double thick summer creams.

The summer creams initiative aims to build cream volume sales outside the peak times of Christmas and Easter.

Available in two delicious flavours - 'Strawberry and vanilla' and 'Chocolate and pear' - the summer creams are part of Sainsbury's 'First for fresh' range, which encourages shoppers to get back to basics and use fresh products in their everyday cooking.

Produced at Leeds Dairy, the extra thick double creams are sold in 150 ml pots. Starting this week, the creams will be available in 350 Sainsbury's stores across the UK. There will also be sampling activity in the top 200 Sainsbury's stores nationwide.

Kennet Petersen, project manager said: "Sainsbury's set us an extremely challenging task but thanks to a real team effort, the summer creams are now in store and we look forward to seeing the results."
