Chocolate Brûlée

A crème brûlée for connoisseurs, with the added taste of cocoa and walnuts on top. This chocolate brûlée is perfect for rounding off a really good dinner.

Instructions

Step 1
  • Heat the oven to 150 °.
Step 2
  • Whisk together cream, milk, sugar and cocoa in a saucepan.
Step 3
  • Cook. Beat the egg yolks in a bowl. Pour the cream milk over the eggs whisking well. Add vanilla sugar.
Step 4
  • Distribute the mixture into 4 individual dishes that can hold 150ml each. Bake in water bath on the bottom of the oven about 60 minutes.
Step 5
  • The mixture is a little loose in the middle but solidifies when it is cold. Leave the dishes in the fridge overnight.
Step 6
  • When serving: Put the oven on "grill", highest heat. Sprinkle with raw sugar on the tops of the brûlées and heat under the grill, but leave the oven door open.
Step 7
  • Leave for a few minutes until the sugar has melted and has colour, but watch them carefully. Sprinkle some cocoa on the top and garnish with walnuts.
