Meringue With Strawberry and Vanilla

Meringue with the lovely combination of strawberry and vanilla. Easy to make with ready-made quark and nicely topped with homemade chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

Whipped cream	200 ml
Strawberry ice cream (preferably rippled)	½ litre
Vanilla quark	250 g
Meringue	20

Chocolate Sauce

Semi-skimmed milk	50 ml
Caster sugar	60 g
Cocoa	40 g

Garnish

Strawberries	½ litre

Instructions

Step 1

Mix milk, sugar and cocoa into a chocolate sauce in a saucepan, boil for about 2 minutes while stirring.

Step 2

Whip the cream. Divide the ice cream into smaller pieces and mix with cream, quark and meringues.

Step 3

Pour over the chocolate sauce. Garnish with strawberries.
