Oatcake

Great oat biscuits that you can easily bake yourself. Oatcakes are good on a cheeseboard or as a snack with an a slice of cheese.

Ingredients

175 g Oatmeal
150 g Wheat flour
1 tsp Baking soda
tsp Salt
1 tbsp Caster sugar
100 g Butter
100 ml Semi-skimmed milk

Instructions

Step 1

  • Heat the oven to 175 °.

Step 2

  • Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Melt the butter and stir in the milk in the bowl.

Step 3

  • Work together the ingredients to form a dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Step 4

  • Roll out the dough, approximately 3 mm thick and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Flatten the dough with a fork and shape or cut out square biscuits about 5x5 cm.

Step 5

  • Bake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes. Let the biscuit cool on the tray.
