Chocolate Boxes

These chocolate boxes are so crunchy and devishly good that you have to have several! Cut the chocolate boxes before they have cooled down, to ensure you get the best shape.

Ingredients

150 g Hazelnuts
100 g Butter (At Room Temperature)
120 g Caster sugar
1 Egg
90 g Wheat flour
tsp Baking soda
1 tsp Vanilla sugar
40 g Cocoa

Instructions

Step 1

  • Heat the oven to 200 °.

Step 2

  • Chop the nuts. Mix the butter and caster sugar in a bowl. Add the egg.

Step 3

  • Mix flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and cocoa into the sugar mixture and stir well.

Step 4

  • Spread the mixture into a cake tin lined with baking paper, about 25 x 30 cm.

Step 5

  • Sprinkle with the nuts. Bake in the middle of the oven for 10-12 minutes.

Step 6

  • Cut the cake into squares or triangles before it's cool.
