After an international tour of Denmark, Holland and New York, premium cheese brand Castello® officially opened its first UK pop-up store on the 9th September.
The Castello® Pop Up shop has arrived in Commercial Street in London for a seven week tenure to
build on the success of the brand in the UK, and boost awareness and appreciation of Castello® cheese among UK consumers.
Visitors to the pop-up can discover and taste more than 30 different varieties of the diverse Castello® range, many of which have never been available in the UK before.
There will be special events running throughout its seven week occupancy, including:
· Live Q&A sessions with foodie adventurer and ‘gastronaut’ Stefan Gates
· Tasting lunches for £5
· The chance to pick a drink from top wine expert Matt Day’s ‘drinks cabinet’ which will be expertly
matched with one of the 30 cheeses on offer.
A perfect pairings bar will also serve innovative combinations of cheese, drinks and nibbles every
Thursday, Friday and Saturday – challenging the myth that red wine is always the right match for cheese.
Arla is the UK’s largest dairy company and cooperative, and home to a range of household dairy
brands including Lurpak®, Anchor® and Cravendale® as well as Castello®.
Castello Brand Manager, Julian Merritt said:
“This is a very exciting campaign for Castello® and with more than 30 different varieties of cheese available to taste and buy, it promises to be an immersive 360° cheese experience like no other. Some of the cheese pairings are out of this world – like Castello Creamy Blue with Black
Cherry and Dark Chocolate – and need to be tried to be believed.
“The Castello® range has been extremely successful in the UK over recent years and we want to build on that success to reach even more cheese lovers across the UK. I would urge people to pop in when they are next in London and enjoy the experience.”
