Yorkshire Butter, produced at Arla Foods' Settle Creamery, is top of the class again this year having won two trophies at the Great Yorkshire Show held recently at the Harrogate Showground.
Yorkshire Butter won 1st class in the Best Chilled Product award and also the Best Yorkshire Product.
The butter brand also sponsored the Great Yorkshire Championship show jumping event on the day, where Richard Whitely, of Channel 4's Countdown fame, presented the wining prize on their behalf.
Other awards to add to Settle's trophy cabinet, presented on the day, included bulk butter coming first and second in its class as well as coming 3rd in the cream category.
Ken Jensen, butter manager, Settle was extremely pleased with the results: "It was great to see so many of Settle's products recognised, Yorkshire Butter also came very close to winning the Supreme Champion product, but you can't have it all, can you?"
Settle Creamery, which employs over 140 people is no stranger to awards, after winning 'best in class' and the prestigious Black Diamond Trophy for block butter at last year's Nantwich Cheese and Dairy show. Settle are now anticipating more success when the show returns this summer.
Settle Creamery also produces own label butter for the UK's major supermarket groups, including organic butter. It also manufactures UHT milk.
