Arla Foods have been busy doing the rounds throughout Yorkshire in its Formula One styled milk float after five lucky schools across the region were picked to win a week's worth of free milk for all pupils.
Real Radio, which broadcast the 'Ernie' inspired jingle promotion to coincide with National Milk Week, supported the competition. All the schools had to do was nominate themselves by email or fax to be entered into the draw.
In addition to the fastest milk float in the west, Real Radio's pantomime cow was also on hand to entertain pupils as they collected their free milk.
Shuna McDonald, marketing assistant, Arla Foods said: "Our aim was to promote the message that milk is good for you and encourage children, particularly of junior and infant age, that milk is an important part of their diet."
"Our Formula One styled milk float never fails to attract kids' attention and the Real Radio pantomime cow certainly encouraged the kids to come and get their free milk," Shuna added.
Kirkstall Road-based Arla Foods' Formula One milk float has visited a school a day over National Milk Week and Whitecoat Primary school, Bramley, was the final school to receive fresh milk when the milk float pulled into their playground today.
