Arla Foods UK is today welcoming the extension of The Courtauld Commitment 2025, the food and drink industry’s voluntary agreement to transform food and drink production.
The Courtauld Commitment 2025, led by the Waste & Resource Action Programme (WRAP) and now influencing 95% of the UK food retail industry, challenges its signatories to achieve three ambitious targets:
- A 20% reduction in food and drink waste leading to saving of £20 billion
- A 20% reduction in greenhouse gas intensity from food and drink consumed
- A reduction in impact associated with water use in the supply chain.
