Arla Foods helps provide all the trimmings

Arla Foods is donating butter, milk and cream to make sure that a group of volunteers in Rothwell are able to provide all the festive trimmings this Christmas.

Giving up their Christmas Day to help those less fortunate than themselves, the volunteer group is spending time cooking for the elderly and disabled who would otherwise be by themselves.

Annette Cardno, Arla’s operations manager at Stourton NDC, has been making sure everything is delivered on time.

“Arla donated the first consignment of butter in November so they could start making Christmas cakes, and on Christmas Eve we will take them everything they need for the day.”

“It’s heart warming that volunteers give up their time on Christmas day to make sure that others aren’t lonely and its great to know that Arla can help them in some way.”

Arla is also donating dairy products to St George’s Crypt, a charity in Leeds that offers care and support to the homeless.
