Northallerton creamery gain top environmental award

Northallerton creamery has been given the go-ahead for a top environmental standard.

Following its ISO 14001 audit, the site has been recommended for the environmental audit in recognition of its dedication to the environment.

Karin Hansen, Arla's environmental affairs manager said it was a huge achievement and down to the hard work of everyone there.

"It is a long term goal for all Arla sites to gain this accreditation," she added.

Northallerton is now awaiting final approval before it can hoist the ISO flag and boast its green credential along with Arla Foods Ashby, Manchester and Sheffield Park dairies.

Arla Foods UK plc is home to some of the UK’s leading dairy brands including Cravendale, Lurpak and Anchor.
