In 1886 Harry Reynolds, a Cornish dairyman started making Anchor® butter. He chose the anchor as an identifiable symbol to put on his butter, inspired by a tattoo on an engineers arm. Anchor® was first sold in packet form in the UK in 1924 and has been a firm favourite in the UK ever since.
Anchor® butter is made from the milk of free range cows. They graze outdoors all year round giving Anchor® it's distinctive yellow colour and its rich, creamy taste.
