Logistics Roles
You really can be in the driving seat in this function, even if you're not a Driver! Experienced professionals help to fulfill the potential of this department, so have a look at the types of role available and check our live vacancies to see if there's something for you.
As you'll agree, the backbone of every Logistics Department is the people delivering our promise - not to mention our products: our Drivers. We are always on the lookout for Class 1 or C+E qualified and experienced Drivers who will be the 'face' of Arla Foods whether collecting milk from our farmer partners or delivering to our major retail customers. Whatever the economic climate, people always need milk and butter, so we can promise a stable work environment where people who are reliable and take pride in their work will be valued.
Join us as a Driver and you'll be responsible for delivering first-class customer service as well as first class products. We offer excellent training programmes to ensure that you can develop your skills and career potential. And even though you'll be out on the road, you will be a vital member of the team and enjoy a close-knit team working atmosphere from day one, including plenty of social events like family fun days and many other occasions when you can socialise with the team and really feel like the valued member of Arla Foods that you are.
You'll also enjoy driving through some of the most scenic areas of the UK - most of our farmer partners are based in beautiful countryside locations so there's a real opportunity to appreciate new landscapes and feel closer to nature.
LGV drivers
In this varied role, one day you could be delivering our big brands Lurpak and Anchor as well as products for other companies who outsource their Logistics operation to us and the next delivering to the very heart of our business to major retail customers, Cravendale milk and own label milk products manufactured and despatched by us.
You'll need LGV experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to giving your best at all times during our 24/7 delivery operation. You'll need to be flexible to meet the needs of suppliers and customers and we have a number of shifts available covering days, nights and weekends.
Bulk farm drivers
Having completed all the checks required before leaving the depot, you'll set off to collect milk from our farmers, do quality checks at each location, then bring the fresh white stuff back to your allotted dairy. So it's vital that you have a good understanding of rural matters or are willing to learn about farmers' businesses and issues. You'll need the good communication skills to build up a solid rapport with our farmer partners and represent Arla Foods as a business that is committed to working closely together for our mutual benefit. Any Tanker experience would be an advantage and/or experience of decontamination, though full training will be provided.
