Relief Machine Operator

Name: Cilla Wenderlöf
Age: 32
Title: Relief Machine Operator, Packaging
Location: Stockholm, SE

Working as a relief Machine Operator in our Packaging department, I am in charge of the entire operations most of the time, working both hands-on and hands-off. I take part in various development projects going on within Packaging, which sort of makes me a link between theory and practice.

I'm actually a trained hairdresser, but after a few years in the business, I decided this wasn't really what I wanted to do. And while considering my next steps I went for a holiday job at Arla Foods. Four months later, I was a full-time employee.

What I like about my job is that being responsible for operations, I rarely face the same kind of situation two days in a row. This means that planning and decision-making take place on an hour-by-hour basis. I'm really at my best when lots of things are going on at the same time and I can feel my pulse raising slightly.

Still, the more general projects I've taken part in have been very rewarding as well, because I've been able to directly improve our packaging and other operational processes for the benefit of my colleagues and the business as such.
