Arla Foods is famous for investing great resources in research and technology projects. This means that curiosity and putting knowledge into practice are essential elements of my daily work as a New Product Development Scientist.

I am trained as a Food Scientist, and during my university years I worked at a consultancy carrying out analyses of foodstuff and water. In 2002 I joined Arla Foods while I was finishing my master thesis — a microbiological study of the Listeria bacterium's survival in cheese.

My work is versatile and covers a wide range of functions. I lead or take part in various product and technology development projects, handling everything from recipe development and stakeholder dialogue to test planning at our pilot plants and final documentation. In addition to project management, I get to dive into specialist tasks like studying milk proteins' interaction with other food components.

And apart from offering great specialist challenges, Arla Foods is a company that really cares about its employees, both personally and professionally — so I enjoy working here and look forward to see where my curiosity takes me.
